Many times at hotels, when I asked where I could have a little more safer parking because I was on a bike. The desk clerk would ask the manager and they would tell me or us to park in the check in/front lobby area by the front entrance.
P.S. You arrogant *****....
I speak of parking at the entrance of a "store name here". I have parked in the same spots at a hotel you speak of. That does not make me arrogant.
My selection says it all. They don't own the road. I'm a believer that traffic laws should be observed. Just because you are on a bike or riding with a group does not grant you any special privilages or consideration from other motorists nor should it. Your destination or your group is not any more important than that of any other motorist on the road.
Blocking for funerals/charity runs is ok. Poker runs & riding with a few homiez no. We blocked for a charity ride for a cop who got shot, the cop's were to busy so we volunteered. At the end of the ride, a few officers said we did a better job than they ever could, on stage to a crowd of over 100.
I'm one of them. It's a limit, not a suggestion. You wanna go faster than the the posted, you gotta work for it and get around me.
Actually, in a lot of states the law is; travel right pass left. If you're in the left lane and traffic behind you flashes to pass but you don't move, you are in violation of the law. In addition to that, what I think is funny as all get out is when someone takes on your little challenge and passes you on the shoulder and sprays your windshield with gravel. Let the road games begin.
Now it's kind of ironic that you would point it out as illegal to block an intersection for a few seconds but you find it's ok to block the left lane for however long you want to hang out there. Nobody likes a left lane blocker.
It is the smart thing to do.Back years ago when the runs we went on were getting bigger every year something had to be done because of all the intersection problems.Near misses,a lot of fender bending, the problems lasted sometimes hours trying to get literally thousands of motorcycles through some intersections.
Since then most all towns the LEO's are happy or seem to be, to assist at intersections.
You will always have the Hot Heads with short fuses and on screech too bad for them they are old before their time.

Good thing for me that I don't G.A.S whether anyone likes me or not. And just to be clear, I will move over for someone that is going a couple MPH over the limit. I also stay right in states that have that law.
However, if someone comes up on my *** at warp speed....ain't happenin. In my opinion, they got no business on a public road if they can't stay within or close to the limits.
My view on this comes from a few years of helping to scrape people up off the pavement from accidents resulting from excessive speed. Don't expect you to understand that and don't care if you do or not. You do what you're gonna do and I'll do what I'm gonna do and we don't need to like each other regardless.
