LEO spotted with a FF helmet

LEO spotted with a FF helmet

For the first time I saw a LEO wearing a FF helmet. It was recently the other day on one of our suburban streets in San Jose.

He was riding a Honda ST1100.

Anyone else see a FF helmet LEO (riding a motorcyle) and where? The Bourne Identity or Ronin doesn't count.

Quite a few LOE's in SoCal wear the full face helmet where the whole face flips up. I think they are made by Nolan.

LEO on a Honda, full face or not, has little to do with, "General Harley Davidson Chat". JMO.

I saw one in So Cal a few weeks ago. I think it was modular. The main objection to FF in the past was having to shout through the helmet. Another consideration is newer bikes are offering less (smaller area) windscreen protection.

Some Austin (Texas) Police wears them.. flip up style with a expended visor, the officers I talked to say the expand visor gives them better visability.
