Default All Good

Man I'm sure it's been said before, but I love riding this bike. About 75 degrees on the ride home last night. Cool breeze. Outstanding sunset. Light traffic. Sweetgrass in the air. In the wind; knees in the breeze. A little rumble down in the in-between. Maybe the only things better might be hooking up with a beautiful woman or being a starship captain or something. Those that don't scoot have no idea. I love riding baby!

Today's inspirational thought from the Front Range.

75? That is sweet. I just hope it will drop below 90 before I leave for Sturgis.

That's why we ride.
Recently I was riding home after dark on a nice road with almost no traffic, when a big storm front appeared in front of me - and I was still about 30 miles from home!
Lightning, tremendous thunder in front of me as far as the eye could see from left to right and the sounds and feel of the booms were amazing. It got extra dark, lightning in front of me was so bright I thought about putting my sunglasses on - it was almost like watching someone weld right in front of me.
The Faithful Road King and I were one, we were riding the storm out, admiring the power from the sky and the pulse of the big twin as we proceeded on our journey straight toward it as though we were two colliding forces to meet up ahead, no backing down, our destiny was like the Unstoppable Force meeting the Immovable Object. Fear not!
After at least a half hour of this power dual, with a grin from ear to ear, we pulled into the driveway and the garage door responded to the remote command as the 'King's final snort of the evening coasted us into his lair as the rains started and the door closed as all I could do was remove my helmet and go "WOW!!!
What a rush that was. My opinion remains that the events that night came down to a draw. I am just glad to have been in the arena.
The 'King and I stand ready for Round #2. Bring it on!

Nuthin' like riding during a Florida sunset. Temps around 80. You don't get sunsets much up north.
