We're thinking about riding down to to PCB for the Fall Thunderbeach rally. Never been to PCB before. Any suggestions of good places to stay? We don't have to be in the dead center of all the action and price IS an object...we can't keep adding stuff to the wife's bike if we spend to much on a place to sleep!

Good to see you have your priorities in order...HAH! Haven't been to PCB, but would love to go to Thunder Beach. I think some other crew are going, Horseplay maybe?
Where do you and your wife ride? We're at the edge of Milton/Canton. Y'all should hook up with us for a mountain ride soon.
The Flamingo http://www.flamingomotel.com/ has a clean reasonable rooms where you can walk to Shuckums, Pier Park, Sharkys, and watch the bikes on front beach road.
The Palmetto is another that we really like within short walking distant to the Sand Piper Beacon which has pretty good bands like Mustang Sally.
There are some nice and reasonable places on the east end of the beach too it's easy to search on the net or you could use the places recommend by thunder beach promotions but they are the pricier places.
We did the fall rally last year, it was a pretty good time, got very crowded on Fri and Saturday, lots of traffic.
"hopefully" going back this fall, already have reservations at the Shores of Panama for Weds-Sunday, health permitting! Costing me $500 for 4 nights at this condo, better than ANY hotel on the beach! Go thru VRBO and save some money.
Venues are scattered all over the beach some are pretty cool, some just suck!
Went to the spring rally with a buddy and shared a room at the Seahaven Hotel. Next door to Sharkeys. The room was about 90/night with the fees and we split it. The whole parking lot was reserved for bikes only. Room was clean.

We ride all over north GA and would love to get together for a ride in the mountains sometime. And as to priorities, a wise man once told me a happy wife is a happy life!! My FLHTK didn't need much added to it, and we've had to turn Jay's Street Bob into the only touring Street Bob we've ever seen. Since she started riding May last year she's put almost 11K miles on it.
Sunday is usually our day to ride. If you ever have a Sunday morning free, just let us know!

Thanks for the link! Looks like just the kind of place we've been looking for. Going to call tonight to make a reservatione]
We've been to the past two spring events.
We stayed at Horizon South both times.
It is across the street from the Sandpiper. It is not on the beach but between Front Beach Road and Back Beach Road. Having the two entrances and exits is nice. There was plenty of parking too.
Well, we pulled the trigger and took SeeMeDo's recommendation and made reservations at the Flamingo. Can't hardly beat $65 a night for a beachfront room. Since it's just the 2 of us, 1 queen size bed is all we need and a full kitchen will be nice....actually it's the full size fridge that we like the best!

Bill & Jay,
You can find lots of places to stay on vrbo.com or findvactionrentals.com
I own a condo on the beach on the east end near St Andrews State Park and I rent to folks coming for the event all the time, some ride down other trailer their bikes. PCB is a great place with lots to do and some of the best beaches in the country! Usually the weekend of ThunderBeach I get $125 a night for my beach front 2 bedroom condo.
