The East Side folks just HAD to take Hwy 60 back to Dahlonega!
Madz: "OMG, Dad! There is NO WAY I could ever RIDE this thing!"
NGH: "You got THAT right... and you ain't EVER gonna get the chance to TRY!"
Madz got all JIGGY over this beautiful matte black RG with big-azz Arlen Ness front wheel and raked-out forks!
We had 12 bikes... at least for awhile... then some got thirsty...
I also found this one... from back in the 60s, I think...

A couple more from today. 8/18/12 We stopped at Wagon Wheel in Dahlonega for lunch. Great food!!

BRP, 129, Foothills Pkwy and 441 home
Got back last night from an overnighter north. Left at 10 a.m. Sunday morn. Took 441 to just north of Clayton, then 246/106 up to US64. Then to 215N up to the BRP. Took that north up almost to Asheville, then caught 74 over to 19 to Maggie Valley and spent the night. Took off yesterday morning...19 to 28 to 129. Rode Tail of the Dragon, then took the Foothills Parkway up to 321 into Townsend, to old 73. Took that back to 441. Quick run into Gatlinburg for some dinner, then 441 back south to 23 to home. Just a hair less than 600 miles. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Would love to do more the the BRP next ride north...was gorgeous!
