I really hate goverment intrusion but I am really getting tired of cagers trying to kill me.
I think as a group all motorcyclist should send a message to the law makers that we are tired of this and the penalties must be increased. A ban on texting is not enough. An accident caused by distracted driving should have a license revoked for 6 months.

It's been proven that a distracted driver is at least as dangerous as a drunk driver. Seems like upping the penalties for distracted to match drunk penalties would be a step in the right direction.

An accident caused by distracted driving should have a license revoked for 1yr if its just as dangerous as a DUI.

I agree. Its time these type of crashes stop. It happens every day. It will take some big shot in DC to loose someone in his family to get it into law.
