Default Changing oil

I was just curious as to how you all change your oil? I mean, I know HOW to change it but what do you use to catch the oil? I use a motorcycle lift and it's really hard to find any container that will fit under there with the lift in place. I did cut an antifreeze jug one time and it worked pretty well but I don't have any laying around that I could use. Any other ideas?

I have a small drain pan...almost like a dish pan....enough to hold a gallon of fluid. When done, I pour used oil back into oil bottles and take to local autozone for recycle..got this pan at autozone. Also change on sidestand as I find lift blocks too much.

Been changing my own for years with the accepted mess. Cat litter to absorb the oil. Recently bought the HD oil catcher but have not had a chance to use it.

On my CVO SG 110" I warm up the bike, drag over a piece of carpet to lay on the floor alongside the bike, slide a pan underneath and have it. I have a sears lift and yeah, it gets in the way.

I like that drain pan. I think I'm gonna go ahead and quit using the lift. It seems to get in the way more than it helps. Thanks for all the input!

I've got the screamin eagle rectangle catch pan.

....but I also have an Atlas 1500 lift, so it's simple.

When you pull the plug, how do you keep from dropping it? I find the oil is too hot to hold the plug. I usually end up dropping in the pan. Do you keep a spare?
