I use a shallow baking pan, no lift. Telescopic magnet gets the plug back out of the pan every time. Just recently added a much better wheel vise to my HF table lift so I can get up off the floor.

I use a oil scavenger. It screws to the oil filter stud and has a hose on it. Start the bike open the oil tank fill and add oil. Of corse put the hose on a foil pan. The scavenger cycles the oil once threw the motor and dumps it threw the hose. Since my bike has no drain plug on the motor (its on the oil tank) it gives me a complete oil change. Yes I use a little more fresh oil but the oil stays cleaner longer.

I use a cat litter pan that you would buy for a cat to crap in. Fits under bike good and can drain all three holes at once and take the oil filter off too.

J&S have a drip tray that fits on their jacks - the drip tray directs the waste into a convenient flat pan. The filter is always a PIA, I jam paper towels around the base and get it off as quickly as possible.

........ FWIW and considering the cost of oil probably a good idea to have the custom funnel for filling the primary.

I change my oil with the bike on the jiffy stand and I found that if you hold bike up vertical for a minute a couple times, another 3rd of a quart will drain out.

I'm not the kind of guy that goes out and buys stuff because it says HD on it, but the low profile oil pan is great. I used to use an anti-freeze jug with the side cut out, the HD pan makes pouring the old oil into a suitable container for disposal a breeze.
