OP just skimmed through your first write up, my eyes couldn't take it! did you lose your radio reception with the kit?

If the same, is there a kit available with these same bulbs for a single headlight...just one of everything? Or if different, would you happen to know which kit would give me the same bulbs you got for a single headlight? Sure would appreciate it.
You would have to look around for a single light system. I'm sure mine was made for a car. The RG has been a pain to find a dual system that would work. But if you bought this set you would have a spare ballast and bulb, so it ain't too bad of a price, for the lights, still cheaper than the LED options. You'll probably want to upgrade you passing lamps too if you have them, so you have to look for something for them as well.

I used a flat blade screwdriver with masking tape on one side. Also Harbor Freight has a set of nylon pry bars for $7.

Just what was wrong with the first post?? I don't believe anything was misspelled, nor were there any serious grammatical errors. Ok it was long but I tried to cover as much as I could. If I got into a rant on every time someone used "to" for "too" or any of the other common grammatical blunders I wouldn't have time to get the content of the message in the first place. Anyway, I rarely use the radio, I like recording MP3's on CD's. But I have tried the FM and it didn't seem to have any problem.

Thanks for the response. So just to be clear, these lights you used for your road glide would fit & be the same for my ultra classic (same size lights, etc), just I would be getting 2 of everything...I would have a spare of everything required?

Just saw them for $166.00 on headlight thread yesterday. They have a kit including passing lamp upgrade.

Not quite everything, there is a controller that runs both lights but you'd have two bulbs and two ballasts. If you look around you may find a single light system at an even lower price, but look for one that has the same kind of bulb as these. That is the critical element. Some of the bulbs do not have a well shielded design and will scatter light all over the place, like into the eyeballs of on-coming traffic or anyone riding in front of you. So look for bi-xexon h4 bulbs. That is assuming that your bike uses H4 bulbs of course. I mentioned these because they work well in the fugly red-headed step child of the Harley family, the Road Glide, with the two headlights. One other thing that I'll mention is that there is more than one price for the same kits depending on which link you open to get there. Either way you should be able to get a setup for under $100.

Whatever works for you is good. I've been using the cheap Chinese H4 - 5000K bulbs purchased off EBay for about $4 each. They last me about a year and I'm fine with that as it gives me a reason to take things apart to clean. Much brighter than stock. Never really understood why there's so much fuss over head lights.

My only fuss is over $700 for DM's for my RG. I needed better lights and $630 in my pocket.
