Why not just drill your old baffle out, make all the holes larger...woukdn't you get the same increase in sound volume?

The standard "dyno tuned" baffles have large cheese grater like slots in a spiral pattern for ideal back pressure whereas the "competition" baffles just have a bunch of little holes to optimize flow.

why not just eliminate the baffle altogether? it'll make a lot of noise that way

Got it...I drilled my Pro Pipe out and rewrapped the baffle with ceramic insulation...made it sound deeper, heavy...removed the mild raspy tone...but that baffle was not slotted...is on my 98 Fatboy..thanks for the info...

If you don't mind losing low end torque, lousy gas mileage, backfiring and eventually burning the exhaust valves... I say GO FOR IT!!!
