Default Exhaust swap

I have a 2008 FLHTCU with a 96, stock headers with V&H cans. A friend just replaced his stock 2010 FLHTCU exhaust. My question is would the 2010 exhaust fit on my 2008?

Won't fit.

For '08 the window is '07-'08.

'07 was the first year for the 96, '09 was a major frame overhaul.

u can use head pipe from 06 and back but…. you would have to have either bungs welded in for o2 sensors or use a power commander,as it bypasses the o2 sensors. the 09^ head pipe will not fit due to the frame change.either s&s or sampson? makes an 09 style head pipe for the 08.

One of our members has adapted a later set to fit, but it isn't a bolt on. If you have the skills to make it work it can be done.

You will need to either drill and tap the trans pan or replace with a 2009 and up pan to get the mount for the crossover pipe hanger to fit. Other than that it will bolt up with no major issues other than needing new hangers possibly. The rear tire will be fairly close to the crossover but has worked for others.

I just took off a set of V & H true duals and installed a set of drago 2 into 1 exhaust. I absolutely love this exhaust.

Doesn't Drago have two different 2:1 exhaust systems? If so, which one did you use?
