New Deka ETX 30L on sale $87.95, use code: TBS for an extra 5% off brings it down below $85. Had to add about $10 for UPS to deliver it.
Still at $95 for a new Deka battery. Not bad.
I appreciate all HDF members who share their finds and tech wisdom. Just wanted to do my small part in helping others who might need to replace a battery soon. Fall is here and Winter is coming soon.
Be safe and enjoy the "Right Wrist Twist" !
I am running the DEKA batteries in both our older bikes and will run it in the RGU when it needs a new battery. I paid a little bit more than you did but still about $80 less than the OEM battery. By the way both the OEM and DEKA are made in the same factory. The lugs are slightly different but DEKA provides an adapter that works great.
Been thinking I might ought to replace my original battery in my 08. It can't last forever.....
Now you've done it!
You have invited the jeebs to rob the life of your battery.
It won't be long now.
If you stop somewhere while you are out and about - park on a hill Dude!

Yeah I figured I wasn't the only one who would run one till it had to be changed. I heard (dreamed, made up) they were extra good that year!
P.S. I just changed the key fob batteries this year before the CO/NM trip. They still worked, just got to worrying about it so I changed them.
I live about 10 miles from the Deka plant in Pa. I go to their retail store on site and purchase all my vehicle batteries from there. You can get a "second/blem'' from Deka for about half the cost of a new one, they just don't have a logo on the battery.
