Default Problems after Bar Install

OK....I need to dip into the collective pool of wisdom here on the site. I put my bars on, and got everything hooked up and put back together. Took me a while! Got home Sept 24th, and finished Oct 5th. There was a delay that wasn't my fault...got the wrong brake lines. But no biggie.

Bars are BR's Custom 1.5" Diameter Sweeping K9's. 16" Rise. Pretty bad *** bars. Internally wired. I soldered the connections, and pulled the wires.

Now....when I got everything on and back together, I started it up and took it for a ride.

Problems:
1. My cruise no longer works. The cruise icon light on my dash comes on and stays on, but it's red instead of green.
2. My Check Engine Light is on.
3. I intermittently get a weird lugging rev when I try to rev my engine while I'm riding it. It just seems like it won't rev up very high, then after a few trys it'll go ahead and rev normally (This is with the clutch in, or in neutral).
4. Right Blinker flashed fast when I first started the engine and tried the blinkers. When I turned the handlebars a couple times that stopped.

Anyone give me a place to start looking? I know....you're going to say the wires. I am not looking forward to that!

Check the wiring or the connectors pins, it is something you did.

Check to see if brake light stays on without hitting brake (front brake switch broken) although that doesn't explain the throttle issue. Check codes. Check pins in plugs. Hate to say it but if I was betting I'd say you probably have a short in the bars or you wired a plug wrong.

When I rewired my APES I had to redo it at least 5 time before I stopped getting trouble codes. The last and final time I staggered my extended connections within the bar and pulled those wires separate from my throttle by wire connections. It was a total pain in the ****. a weekend job that turned into about 6 weeks down time.

The brake lights work as they are supposed to work. I'm pretty sure it's something in my wiring. I'll have to take it back apart.

If you didn't sheath the wires good there's a very good chance you could've scraped the insulation off of some of the wires and they're shorting against each other. These bars aren't that radical but they do have some sharp edges.

2010 Limited with some stuff
