Glad it wasn't more serious, I broke a leg a couple of years ago in a low speed drop. Recover soon and get back in the wind!

Glad you & the wife are OK to ride another day. Don't beat yourself up too bad...we've all been there/done that. Make sure to get that leg checked out...sometimes rubbing a little dirt on it doesn't help.

I do plan on seeing the another doctor in the morning. Luckily I know one personally and he was in the town I was visiting when I did that. He looked it over and basically said don't ride till further notice and give it 3 days and see a doctor back home.

Bike is currently sitting at a friends and worse case I will buy them some In and Out burgers and they will bring it out.

I am a firm believer one should practice and practice. Also believe when you see someone or read about someone else doing something it sticks in the mind. Thus this post about dropping the bike. We have all been there and just wanted to bring it up so it would be in some minds out there.

Really want to get back in the wind but will wait to see what the doctors say. Considering I cant stand on it makes me a little worried.

Default Dropped the bike

Please let us know what happened with your leg. Older bones don't heal as fast. Is your wife still ok with 2 up riding?
Be well.

Default Practice low speed turns.........

After seeing someone fall trying to do a U-turn I watched the "Jerry Motorman Palladino" videos on youtube. The guy knows his stuff and is quite good at teaching it to others. I am sure the classes are very effective and worth the fee. However, you can gain a good bit of "slow speed" knowledge just watching his video clips and practice the maneuvers in your local high school parking lot after hours and weekends. I do it frequently and it sure seems to help. I am confident in turning lock to lock at slow speeds and making U-turns in tight places.
Glad you and the boss lady are both doing well.
