I hope you are ok and the leg is minor , I to dropped my bike with the wife on the back she got a few scratches but was ok. My pride was hurt the most
I wish you a speedy recovery
Figure I would update this since it has been almost 3 months.
I still don't have my bike back. This is due to it being stored by a family friend where I had the accident. I wasn't able to walk or put any weight on my foot before it snowed so they have winterized it and parked it next to a Street Glide and a Rocker.
I have been in and out of doctors and it looks like finally I am on the mend. I am able to wear normal shoes, and walk for a good part of my day without having to much pain.
The end result was a class 3 sprain and pretty much sprained all the ligaments in my foot and heel. I still have moments of pain but will be back on the bike before to long. Once this evil snow leaves I will be on a bus down to the location of where the bike is stored.
The wife on the other hand has loved riding and throwing it in my face that I couldn't. So nothing changed with attitude.
Sorry about your drop, glad it wasn't serious. What do you mean when you say the "rear kicked out"?
Rear tire lost traction during the turn. The rear end swung out and down it went.
Talking with the cops and friends they all think it was either sand or the fact that the concrete there is very slick and is due to be roughed up for traction.

Strange that the rear tire lost traction when the front did not. Never seen that happen on a u-turn. Glad you're on the mend!
I finally went down with a trailer and brought my bike back up from Cortez Colorado. I have had her at home for a few weeks.
Finally with the weather in Salt Lake City I have been doing a little riding. Amazing how much my foot still bothers me with the little bit of weight of the bike being added to it.
Slowly but surely I am getting back on and riding. Just wish the foot would get the memo.
