Default Custom Dynamics Windshield Trim install completed

So I was adding an amp and speakers (J&M 250 Rokker XX series) to my 14 SGS. I already had the Custom Dynamics Dynamic Ringz front and rear and saw the Windshield Trim lights, it's a 4 led system with white/amber for running and turn integration. (www.customdynamics.com/instructions/GEN-WT-14.pdf)

I have a 14 inch smoke windscreen and HD's 3 bag pouch. So when the instruction mention drilling the windscreen it means the pouch also.

While this all seems fairly straight forward, it's not. The wiring that goes into the holes have to be routed around the handy dandy air vent while going through the windscreen and bag. While you are trying to keep slack out of the line and set everything in place it takes 6 hands. Normally the windscreen and bag go onto the fairing the nose is positioned and attached. Now you've got to hold the windscreen and bag tight to the nose and keep the wiring tight as you position everything.

While it was very time consuming and frustrating with each time it would slip or otherwise not co-operate (this is a full 12 pack install) once all the stars aligned and it went together the outcome is phenomenal!

The lights work along with the Ringz turn going from bright white to amber flash. It give the forward light profile a big jump up.

This is with the emergency flashers on. draped the headlight trying to cut down on glare.

All in all I'm very satisfied with the results. I looked on CD's site and they seem to have modified this to a long tube instead of the 4 individual led's. That would make it a lot easier if the wires come in from the edge instead of the center.

I like that. I'll be doing quite a bit of CD stuff to my SG this winter. Might have to add that to my wish list.

It is a great idea. I am torn about this mod. I might need to see more pics.
