Default Nut size

What size socket do I need to remove the rear axle nut, seems like I seen somewhere it's a 1-7/16. It's a 2013 street glide. Need to buy a wrench and socket

Really. I figured somebody was going there. So 36mm is a tad smaller than 1-7/16 so will it be to loose.

Go to Autozone or O'reilys and pick one up for under ten bucks. They have 1/2" drive 36mm sockets that are used on car cv axles.

There is hardly any metric size nut that is close to an inch size wrench or socket, so get the correct size! That nut can be quite tight if it has been left undisturbed for any length of time and will need a bit of effort to undo.

Checked your HD tool kit if your bike came with one?
Usually a 36mm wrench in there.

In the future please refer to them as female threaded fasteners. I don't think anyone can take that anywhere else.

36mm socket and a 3 foot breaker bar, that sucker is torqued @ over 100 ft/lbs. No way is the tool kit wrench gonna shift it.
