36 mm is the correct size. I use a 1 7/16"...works fine...no need to overtighten that sucker...if 100 foot pounds is the correct torque, fine and dandy, but I tighten mine down to 'just right' and it works 'just fine'. George's Garage makes a good 36 mm wrench for just that use...it's thin, like it needs to be to get in there...

Tool kit wrench works fine. I sit on the floor behind the bike, grab both saddlebag support rails, push the wench with my right foot. Works like a charm.

+1 same here. Plus you can use the skinny wrench without having to drop the exhaust.

I use my handy metric Crescent wrench - works flawlessly every time.

Ditto on the skinny wrench and the pushing with the foot.

FYI 13mm is 1/2 inch and 19 mm is 3/4 inch.
