Default Abs ?.

My Brother just brought a 2014 cvo road king with abs. He was told that when you first start the bike within the first 50 feet you should tap front brake to engage the sensor so that the front brake will work. Is this true or not.

No. The sencer is always working. No secret hand shake to get things working.

Now that's sorta' true with my BMW, so that's maybe where he got the idea. Until the bike is moving at 3 to 4 MPH after you start it up, not only does the ABS not work, the 'power assist' servo motors on the Beemer don't engage either. Hitting the brakes during that time is like stopping your car with the engine off, almost no brakes. But there is a dash light warning you that the ABS isn't engaged yet too, and just pulling down the driveway wakes everything up.

I wonder if there is a confusion on the linked breaking of the 2014 vs the older ABS. I had read that under I think 25 the link breaking isn't working as linked breaking until 25 MPH, however I thought the ABS works right away the blinking light when first starting was only because the wheels were not spinning and thus not picking up any input. I had not heard or read anything about needing to do something to engage it to start working.

The ABS light will flash until the first time you hit 3 mph. It won't flash again until the main switch is turned to OFF (unless there is an ABS fault). Then the cycle starts over.
