Actually all of your choices are "piggy-back" units. While the PCV may be the "best of the bunch", a proper flash tuner (PV, TTS, SESTP) is needed to retain proper closed-loop operation on o2 equipped bikes like your '09. I would not waste my time or money on any of your choices.

if you're not tuning the bike yourself, call the person that will be tuning it and find out what they prefer you to use.

Not a "tuner" they simply enrichen the mixture under most riding conditions, part throttle/ cruising

plug inline with the o2 sensors. ( 10 minutes)
make the mixture about 8% richer.
ecm is untouched
rev limit retained.
MPG will decrease by about 1 MPG

if you are not running a High Flow air cleaner, the best bang for buck is the Ness Big Sucker, about $120 on ebay from easternpc, get the chrome backing plate version

Mike...so you're saying if I have no plans to go beyond a stage 1, I will not require a tuner if using the xieds?

Currently running an OEM head pipe with cat removed & xieds. Plans are to add slip ons (street cannons or reinharts) and a high flow air cleaner (ness big sucker or screamin eagle ventilator). No need for the tuner then?

By the way...very pleased with the "cat-less" head pipe & xieds.

There are a wide range of products on the market that will get the job done, the biggest consideration is using a product within its intended usage and working within its limitations. There is a broad range of specific features as well as a wide range of pricing. Product wise there are some really good piggyback options as low as $199.00, on the opposite end of the spectrum are complete ECM/control system replacements that run as much as $900.00 or more, ECM flash tuners are in the middle of the mix price wise and are generally considered the most comprehensive tuning platforms on the market and the best value for dollars spent.

The best advice we can give is to choose the product you or your tuner feels most comfortable using, the product that best fits your current and future needs, using the product you can get the best support on, and keeping an open mind with a willingness to learn. We have specialized in EFI tuning products for over decade, and tuning fuel injected motorcycles is our specialty. We have an entire staff dedicated to supporting the many thousands of users running our products. We also offer unlimited technical support and various warranty incentives for our customers. If anyone feels Fuel Moto may be a good fit for what you are looking for you are always welcome to contact us at 877-729-4754, advice and recommendations are always free...

Run cooler (which it does now), sound better (sounds a bit better already) and breath a bit freer. If I gain a few horses and torque...that's a bonus.

I stand corrected. For some reason I read Power Commander as Power Vision. ..

I agree with some of the other replies. If you plan to get a custom tune then talk with your tuner guy to see what he recommends. They all have their preferences and will go with what they know how to use best. For stage-one or mild builds I would highly suggest Fuel Moto. They will send you a pre-programmed tuner and all you have to do is plug and ride.
