I bought my 14 Limited in August. It's 2 tone charcoal pearl and black. They took 3000 off as the 15s were coming in and needed to move 14s. Oddly enough buying that bike started with me looking at an 08 eg 105th anniversary. It was a nice bike with 20k for miles, they wanted 16k for itand wouldn't come down a grand. They put me in the new one for 8 grand more. I thought that was a good deal. Them selling a 14 for sticker when the 15s are here sounds like no deal to me. Let alone beating you up on your trade. Imo
I don't know what the market is for a used Harley where you live but I think if you can do the deal for $16,000 out the door, it is a good deal. Just make sure the recalls have been completed on the new one and it is the color you want.
If you like it and can afford it why not. There will always be a better price had by someone else some where on here. I unfortunately never find a long deal and seems like everything I sell is at a loss compaired to what others post. If what you do fits in your families budget is all that matters to your family. Life is short and you only pass through once. May as well enjoy it
Sounds a little high I am trading my 2009 Ultra with 25k miles for a new 2014 Charcoal and Black limited and giving the dealer my bike and 12500.00 that includes tax and all fees picking it up wed having chrome front end installed....Joe PS Does not include the front end parts and labor

There are no mods done to the 14. And I don't want a road king.
Here is my thought on the deal. My 08 KBB trade in is $10,800.00. Retail is around $14500.00
The 14 with two tone paint is $26939.00 add tax at $1800.00 and setup license about $700.00?
2014 $29439.00 out the door.
$29439.00 - $17000.00 = $12439 trade for my 08.
I think I will offer them $16000.00 + trade....what say u on that deal?????
$15,000 and your trade. The 15's are out. LEAN on them harder to move the 14. Walk away if you have to and see if they call you in a day or two. Be patient. Don't pay set up either.
2008 are 2 generations old
Looking at what they are getting sold for in your mileage is 8-10k, trade value.
You won't get retail that is what a dealer gets and unless you are a dealer you probably won't get that. (speaking generally, some rare occurrences may be different)
Where did I get what they are selling for? I Looked on ebay and completed listings and see when they are getting sold and notice the 1 bike for that year that sold 2 times (meaning the sale didn't get completed) and was listed again.
2012-2013 are getting sold in the 15k range, so based on what info you gave and going into winter good deal.
If he is looking for a LTD why would he even consider a RK?
Exactly,if you read between the lines my point is the dealer originally asking for his old Ultra in trade AND $17,000 for a left over 2014 Limited is a lousy deal...$17,000 is a decent chunk of change, numbers can say anything but the dealer wants his trade and damn near enough cash to buy a new RoadKing.
Hell, maybe the dealer figures yeah so it's last years Limited but it being the first year for the Amber whiskey paint and water cooling adds collector's value.lmao.
