instant rocket!!!
Your gonna be pissed at me but here goes anyway, somethin's fishy with those numbers. Stock power on a 88 is about 60-62 hp and about 70lb torque. Stage 1 with tuner usually nets about 10 more in each catagory. Your sayin you got 30 more hp from a stage 2. I don't know man...that would be some kind of record...not callin you a liar bro, but that would be truly amazin..
The 06's have about the best factory heads from what I read, and smaller valve stems for more flow, though that seems to be a double edge sword because of some valve seal problems they've had with the 7mm valve stems, also has a larger throttle body than 05's and down. I've always thought the 37G was a great cam for a stockCR that gives you more TQ than stock and a lot of room to grow!!! Glad it worked so well for you,now go enjoy it

im not pissed at all...believe me, i didnt expect those numbers either but im very pleased and the dyno DONT lie...so believe what you will it doesnt matter to me...and by the way your off on your numbers...we dynoed before and after the work...stock bike with 1550 stage1 dwnload and se2 muffs...around 71hp & 74torque, im going off memory the actual dyno sheets are in my truck.but the gains were around 20/20 not 30.
Big Buck,
appreciate your feedback, but I think you mis read my post. The numbers I spoke of were for a STOCK 88, not one thats been stage 1'd. WhaI I said was your bike would have netted 30hp from bone stock by doin a stage 2, with no headwork. If you check the Screamin Beagle section of a catalog you'll see dyno charts the Moco uses to compare. On page 540 of the latest catalog there is a dyno comparing stock 88 vs. 1550 BB stage 2 which is what you got. Factory stock power is 60hp and 70 torque(like i said), after BB stage 2 it shows 75hp and 85lbs torque, again your sayin your bike is 30hp(50% increase) over stock with no compression bump and no headwork. Truly one of a kind!

Would love to see the chart, you have a one in a million build. I think I need to go and kick the crap out of the guy who tuned my bike last year. Last year mine was 95" with 37g stock heads and SE Pro 65115-98B mufflers. I ended up with 83 hp and 96 ft/lb torque, thought about doing head work but decided to stay with stock heads because I was just looking to bump the power up somesince I plan on picking up another bike to do amore detailedbuild on sometime in the future. Since last year I tossed in a 2* advance key and the Supertrapp Supermeg, will be going back to the dyno in a month.
OK guys, you are all way over my head.
Have a stock 04 EG Classic, with Pythons slip ons. The prev owner of the Pythons drilled about a 3/8 dia. hole in the rear of the baffle to let more air flow, and make them louder. ( I am thinking of welding this shut, and opening up the holes inside, by removing the baffle and drilling those. I did this to the SEII's I had on my 03 softail, and that was sweet. What I have now is too loud!)
I want a little more punch, a smoother ride, and gas mileage, I know, not much!!!!
Thinking of a better breather, and Thundermax. What are your thoughts.
THis is a cruiser, not a racer, and i like long rides in addition to riding 60 miles one way to work, and home. Do a lot on the highway between 65 and 80 mph.
I appreciate all your thoughts.
PS, can a reasonably intelligent Human do the Thundermax himself (or herself!!) ?????

Congrats on the work and nice numbers, Big Buck. I have no trouble believing those numbers. If you talk to Doug Coffey at Head-Quarters, 90+/90+ is what he would expect from an '06 with his HQ-0039 cam and no head work.
Also, there aredyno tuners who really do know how to tune an EFI bike; but most, the large majority, don't.
Big Buck, how much time did the tuner have your bike on the dyno?
As for the HD numbers in the parts book for stage 2 kits, those numbers reflect HD's extremely conservative approach tohp and torque. The kits will improve power and torque over the stock motors, so purchasers of those do see improvement, but they typically do not provide as much improvement inhp and torque as the equivalent kits offered by HQ, GMR and others.
