Are they stick-onordoes the switch housing need to opened?
They snap in place over the switches the way the black ones do now. Yes, you will have to pull the covers apart, but you'll be doing that anyway 'cause you'll have to swap the switches over to your chrome controls anyway. It is not that difficult.....but swapping over the switches is a bit of a pain.

Had chrome controls on my 05 RKC I left the buttons black.
I liked the contrast.

Yup, I left the buttons black too. I just like the contrast of the black on chrome.

I have a brand new set of chrome switch covers if interested. However, they are for Softails not sure if they will fit your bike or not.

I did the opposite. Left the control housingblack and put the chrome switches on. Looks good!!

Actually both the chrome and the black look good. I suppose the black is easier for cleaning purposes..the chrome must get greased up pretty easily?

Like Psyclefreak, I went with chrome switches in the black housing. Have Iso-grips and the look works for me.
Not the easiest install but doable if you think it through- don't lose the little pieces in the brake light switch.
