I guess I'm the oddball...I like the stock matte black housings and buttons.

I guess that's why there's vanilla and chocolate ice cream.

BTW...No disrespect meant, but...I get a real kick seeing someone who goes through all the expense and trouble to install chrome housings/buttons/grips/levers...on stock stainless steel handlebars! All that chrome makes the bars look yellow. Serious.

I went with chrome housings and black buttons...I wanted contrast, I think there is too much chrome up top, If you change the buttons, master cylinder and grips!!

For me it would depend on your GRIPS -
If they are all chrome then chrome buttons
If they are Chrome & Black - Then Black Buttons

I always liked the black buttons until one day I switched to chrome buttons. They look awesome!!
