Default Used CVO

i have been looking online and im finding a lot of 2012-2013 CVO RG for sale with low mines, never thought about buying a CVO but the 2012's are really jumping at me in the BLK/WHT skunk scheme and the blue/blk scheme. i see they range from $30K to $35K, that seem kinda on the high side to me but not having alot of knowledge of CVO used prices wanted some input. for example i found a 2012 blue w/ 2,XXX miles on it looks basically stock for $31k, i really like it and its fairly close, is this a fair price range for these bikes?

also tons of the 2013 orange for same price but i think its too common

lets hear all input good and bad

Retail (dealer) for a 2012 in my zip code is $30,140 with expected mileage around 12k. trade-in is 24,800. Private party usually somewhere in the middle.

The CVO's retailed new at about $36k. To me with the bike being 2-3 years old, I would think the price would be a little lower. Especially now that there is a new model style out. I can tell you that the new model style killed the resale price on the SG (not talking cvo). So you would think that the RG would do the same. BUT the CVO's tend to hold their value better than the plain bikes. I think $31K is too high especially with no mods.

Those prices are pretty close to what I have seen. Recently saw the Black and White around here for $31K. I felt like it was a little too high but having said that, I really like by 2010 CVO SG

I just picked up a 12 CVORGC it had 17k on it but its bone stock and I just happen to stop by the dealer right after it was traded in and was able to negotiate it down to $25.5k convincing them they are just flipping the bike w/o any investment but a quick inspection and a detail. I did buy the 3 year ext warr including tires, so Im covered all around.
BTW its called candy cobalt and twilight blue, not black although it looks black depending on how you look at it.
As far as is a CVO worth it, IMO I have a 07 RG with a 124/121 103. I have over $50k in it and most of that is for parts since I do my own work other that someone doing the motors. For me the 12 is exactly how I wanted a bike, nice *** paintm blk/chrome everything, 110, sounds. I got it all for the price of a new regular RG but 2 things swayed me to this CVO. 1) The mysterious sunglow was nice but within 18 months every 5th bike will probably be that color, and 2) I would have had to sink at least another $10k to get it suitable to my liking.
I rode the bike almost 400 miles home from the dealer and loved every second of how the 110 ran and how the new frame is light years improvement over the 07, and its almost as fast as my 07 OUT OF THE BOX.

for me i would stay at 2014 or better the new stuff is quite an improvement you should find real value in CVO older the 14 to buy it. the CVO is the best of the best but unfortunately Rushmore changed all that in my opinion.

I currently own a 12 CVO RGC or an FLTXSE in the skunk paint scheme

Most prices i see on this model are around 31

I gave 33 for mine new and have put almost 12 k additional in it since purchase

My largest investment post purchase was addition of a 120r to replace the 110 due to engine failure at 18k miles due to a lifer issue

Regardless of anyone opinion my 12 is equal to or better than a 15 due to no navigation center and its ride and performance

I have test road a 15 and while stable so is my 12 and i can find my bike in the parking lot anytime

Would not recommend a 15

Although the Rushmore bikes are an improvement,I didnt like the fairing lowers and those cant be removed because of the rads.
