I am looking at a portable motorcycle lift from JP CYCLE. the one i am looking at is product # 920-235, i was wondering if anyone is familar with this one. I have a 2012 streetglide and want a good portable lift.
I have a 2013 street glide. I use the craftsman yellow jack. It's a good jack for the money. Since the street glide is so low you have to watch which jack you get. Some are too high to slide under the bike. The Sears Craftsman yellow jack is a decent one.
Are you sure you need a lift? I bought one not long after getting my bike and used it maybe one time. Billbuzz is right about SG's sitting low to the ground, though so, be sure to take that into consideration.
I have the one from Harbor freight. I've had it for years and it works great. My flht is lowered, I ride it up on some 2x6's to get the jack under it. It was under $100 and I use it on both my baggers and plenty of friends bikes.
I have a sears aluminum jack which is very low and gets under every bike I have worked on. I also have a Black Widow cruiser stand which is adjustable and fast. It just slides under and you walk the lever over and it raises the front or the rear, Very fast and solid. Here is the link to the one I purchased. http://www.discountramps.com/cruiser-stand/p/BW-37
As long as it will slide under your bike, it will work fine. The standard HF or Sears was too high for some of my bikes, which would have forced me to stand them up vertically to get the lift under. The aluminum one I have and is now also available at HF slides under just about any motorcycle and comes with risers if you want more height.

I use my lift every time I wash/detail my bike. It's much easier on the back.
