I use Sedici heated gear....they don't have a Harley Emblem on them, but they work great and I can walk into Cycle Gear two years from now with those gloves, no receipt, and they will replace them with no questions. I do like the fit of the HD/Gerbing better--but I like the price of Sedici and 'no questions' asked philosophy of Cycle Gear
As I noted in a previous post, I finally got an email back after hounding them.
I guess they have a set of regulators that go in line with the gloves. They sent me a pair see the attached pictures. I am not sure why they were not in the package. However, from the looks of the packaging, they maybe be included in the new sets or provided to people that complain.
If you read the instructions it says, " due to the varying power outputs between motorcycle brands, these regulators are required to ensure uninterrupted enjoyment"
The price to pay for having the controllers being incorporated into the gear.
They are probably just diodes over molded into a small MF harness.
I bought gloves at the Orlando AIM Expo Oct 2016 The salesman assured me that the gloves are waterproof. That's a LIE!
I rode from Natchez Ms to Pensacola FL 12-31-16 I started off in a lite rain with 48 degree temp, within the first 30 min I felt my hands getting wet, and by the first stop (120 miles) the gloves are soaked and VERY HARD to get off and on. After the first stop I kept using the gloves and about 10 min in to the second leg of the trip I notice a tingling in my hands, the setting was on med so I switch to low the tingling eased up, I switch to high and about crashed the bike! It felt worse than a 9 volt battery on your tongue! I immediately unplugged the gloves and rode the rest of the second leg with cold wet hands. The second stop I had my brother put his hand in one of glove and turn it on, he jumped back so fast the glove came unplugged! He said WTH! He put his Gerbings back on and waved!
Thanks Venture Heat for selling a misleading DANGEROUS product! I will tell everyone I can not to buy your dangerous products!
My instructions said not to turn my heated gear on until after the bike was started.
On my Road Glide, I bought a cigarette lighter plug in to power my heated gear. It makes setting up the controller a lot easier. When the plug in arrived, I was surprised it had a off/on switch. Hook it all up, start the bike, turn it on.
I have Gerbings, so YMMV. I don't remember my instructions saying to do that, but that's what I've found works. I turn off the controller, start the bike then turn the controller to the desired temp. If I forget to do that, sometimes the gloves don't work and the indicator light on the controller flashes on and off green(It's usually solid green). However, all I have to do is turn the **** to off with the engine running, wait a second, and then turn the **** back to the desired temp and they work again. I have no idea why they do this, but the surge of starting the bike somehow seems to take them "off-cycle."

Reminds of when I got a glass of spoiled milk as a kid and wanted everyone else to taste and smell it. Made me laugh thinking about getting your brother to shock himself.
Sorry you had a bad experience. I went with Warm n Safe after reading reviews on this site. The customer service was excellent on the phone as well.
