Looking for a new large multi day piece of luggage that mounts solely on the luggage rack (4 point mount) with out the need for the sissy bar. Thanks
If I am not mistaken, while some great recommendations here, most of those would require the use of a sissy bar.
When I had my Street Bob with a Wide Glide sissy bar (very short) nothing really worked well. I used a Saddlemen Deluxe Cruiser Tail Bag (it's basically a tunnel bag that mounts low and hangs over the seat). However, I doesn't fit my RK very well because the King is wider than the Bob.
So with that, I think perhaps you will need to need to look at short, set-mounted bags. Saddlemen has a few that I know of their website.
Or, just pony-up some bucks and get the sissy bar, it'll help you more in the long run.
I use the T-Bags Dakota. Specifically made for the tour pack rack and plenty of room. Comes with rain cover and 2 tie downs per side. We don't leave out on a trip without it.
Edit: Just realized your looking for one to fit a luggage rack so this may not work.
Thanks all. I actually have a low sissy bar but was looking for an option for when I wanted to travel with the luggage rack and no sissy bar. Got a couple of good ideas, Thanks again.
