Looking to change out my levers. Wanting Chrome with Wide Blade. Any recommendations or ones to stay away from ?? These are for a 13 Street Glide. Have read the Brake side can be a PIA. Recommendations for install ??
failure to shim the brake light switch may result in the switch breaking...$60 or so to but a new one.
some models may have a clutch side switch too.
for "straight-forward" appearing jobs, each brand has it's intricacies- the manual will spell them out.
once the switch(es) are figured out, replacing a lever is a couple of minute job.
you'll find the manual will pay for itself the first time you crack it...aside from busting switches, new owners often dump the tranny instead of the motor oil, over fill/ underfill, misadjust the clutch etc etc.
