Default Installing Monroes

I will be installing a set of monroes on my '15 Road Glide Special this week. This is my first time attempting this. Any suggestions, pointers, things to look out for? Thanks

Well id start out by sayin instead of removing the top bushings like most have and i have done with mine. Go with the drill out method. It will save you a lot of time and a lot less of a pain in the ***. The bushings i used were the energy suspension 9.9105G 4 bar bushings. They are a pain they need trimmed in the center the od and id both need worked but managed to make them work. If you insist on changing the bushings rather then drill the stock ones give energy suspension 9.8141G a try. Its a 1 pc bushing all you will have to do then is get a reducer sleeve. I added weld to my eyelets just cause of some eyelets breaking off. You will need a 5/8"x1/2" reducer sleeve for the bottom shock mount.

Done! Thanks for the tips. Took me about 3 hours. The majority of which was spent figuring out where to put the compressor. With cruise on one side and ABS on the other my options were limited. I removed the battery and it fit pretty nicely in the cavity between the frame and the front of the battery.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Why would anyone want them on their bike?
I don't know how they could be even close on damping, but maybe some don't care how their bike handles?

It's a much better ride over the stock application. The Harley dealer wanted to charge me $1800 for air ride. I spent a total of $230 for all the parts and I've got over 4" of travel (witch is more than the dealer installed version).
