Changed the oil in my stock shock to 10wt BelRay fork oil, then changed the oil in my forks to the same. After 5 back surgeries, didn't think I'd last a lot longer, but, with the oil change and 15 lbs of air in rear and 7 lbs in front, rides like a Cadillac, even 2 up, averaging 12000 miles a year.

Thanks all. Yeah, probably have to spend more. He'll fuss though, so maybe shock oil is the next step. He does have a backrest (and a new mustang seat). He uses b-rest all time.
