You can get them in black or chrome....the look is up to you. Guys have been getting take off shocks for as low as $30 on ebay. The ride cant be beat for that cheap. Here is what is listed now.
You will have to make spacers or add washers for the RK shocks, but you wont need to change the bolts.
I agree with freebird on the RK shocks. Just put them on myself and love it. it is a lot better of a ride, but you might have to stiffen up the front end a bit. and thats just some heavy fork oil.
09 1200C here. I was bottoming out a lot with 2 up. Also, I was dragging muffler in turns (even with me solo). I installed stock RK shocks (13). This raised the rear of my bike about 1 inch. No more bottom out, and have not drug since. The improvement in ride is amazing. With just me (215 lbs) I run with zero to 5 lbs pressure. With 2 up (another 215 pounder)(friend, not wife) I run 15 - 20 lbs pressure. The ability to adjust the shock pressure in just a few minutes is GREAT.
Please excuse my ignorance. I too have this same problem with my Iron. Starting to get wifey on the back. I can see the positive notes for the RK shocks. Question is for me what should i be looking for in a pair of these? Size, etc...I want something adjustable.
thanks!
