The main question is what changed on the 2014-15 highway (crash) bars that doesn't allow the lower fairings from the 2013 or older bikes fit now?
Also has anyone got the fairing factory 2014 lower fairing yet? What are the thoughts of them? They are still a bit high in price but looks like it might be my only other option right now.
So I have a 2015 SGS and looking at adding the lower fairings. The main reason I'm wanting to add them is for some long trips I plan on making this summer and so I can add some more speakers to the bike. Since I may not leave them on, I'm trying not to spend $700+ for the HD ones at this time. I know Harley changed the looks for the new ones but I would be ok with the cheaper knock-off companies older style fairings if they will fit.
The engine guard is the same from 09-15 so the earlier lowers should fit with no problem, seems like I've seen a thread where it's been done, someone will probably chime in that's done it.
this might be an option instead of hard lowers...http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/soft...king-dressers/
i have a set on my Yamaha Road Star and they work great, especially this time of year both for the cold and rain protection.
edit....sorry, didn't read the part that your wanted the hard lowers for speakers.....
