Just finished installing my new painted inner fairing. Has anyone painted the fairing mount mirror's? My inner fairing is vivid black. Any special prep work and could I just buy a spray can of vivid black from my dealer? If I paint my mirrors, when I adjust them, willI scrap of the paint? thanks for your input. Steve
I've seen mirrors painted before and it looks good. So good I'm having my painter paint mine when he does my inner fairing this month. Gotta admit, I don't have a clue what if anything different needs to be done when painting tho.

Buddy of mine had his inner fairing painted silver along with the mirror bodies.
A auto shop did it and I didn't look close enought to see if he masked around the area that is adjustable. I will call him later today and check. The painted inner fairing and mirrors do look awesome.
I just had mine done for $50 at Custom Painted Vehicles in Franksville, WI.
They painted the housings and the stem. They masked off the half circle area on the insideso I can still adjust them without damage toany paint. They turned out really good, the paintedstem andhousing mask the inner part not being painted when installed.
I like them much better than the bar mounted mirrors. For me, I feel like I can see better because they stick out a little further. Rode the father in laws RK, they worked fine, I just like mine a little more.
I love the fairing mount mirrors. Gives the bike a real clean look and I feel I can see out of them very good. Kern, thanks for your input, pictures would be great if possible.
