Hi you all
I am trying to replace the rubber grummet on my both saddlebags, so i took them off (pain) now i am trying to put the new one in and i can not (GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE more pain)
Is there any magic way to do it, Anybody has a way to put these back in place, I did try oil, this and that but i can not do it. Any help or tip would be great
Thanks
if their that tight try a piece of string,or the tough nylon stuff, wrap it around the grommet one time insert one edge of the grommet then pull the cord to move the lip of grommet over the edge.same as doing old car windows that used the rubber gasket.
Bring a pot of water to almost a boil.
Drop in the grommets. Let sit 5 minutes then try again.
I got my Performance machine replacement new black rathyon rubber strips on this way.
And they were a bitch until I soaked them in almost boiling water.
