Anyone tried this accessory switch? Im adding a switch to to the empty slot on 2010 street glide nacelle right next to ignition switch.
My local indy shop ordering from drag specialties and not harley and this switch binds up when placed into nacelle and tightened down into support frame with screws. If I leave the screws loose, the switch will toggle back and forth easier, but its loose.
Its like its not an exact fit and binding against the nacelle. Ive even tried swapping with harley switches on other side and no good.
Is this a drag specialties issue? Thinking I shoulda just ordered from harley but wanted to support my local indy. He must get a better markup from DS cause hes always pushing their products.
Interesting. I have the same issue with my drag specialties cruise switch. I tend to leave the cruise on all the time, so i havent tried to fix it yet. I considered small spacers between the switch and the cover, to allow the switch to be tight, but operate freely.
I think you're guessing correctly on the markup issue. If the DS piece ain't workin', then opt for the OEM HD switch...simple deal...I understand your desire to support the independent mechanic, I do the same, but if he can't or won't supply the part that fits, well, the choice is obvious!!!
