Thanks for all the quick responses. I did solve my problem and will now be auditioning for the next Dumb and Dumber movie. This is so bad I even hate to admit it but the problem was I had the ignition switch set on ACC rather than IGN. There I said it. Has anyone ever done anything worse than that.

I read this and immediately knew the answer! I just wanted you to have the joy of self-discovery. . . .Okay, I just now saw it. And NO, I'VE NEVER, EVER DONE THIS!! How could you insinuate. . .okay maybe once. In my defense, I was standing next to the bike facing aft and turned it the wrong way. At least that's my story and I'm sticking with it!
Too bad you've got to "put it away" up here in the PNW it's going to be nice after Christmas, cold as hell but nice. I'm looking forward to some long tuning runs on my forced vacation.
