I've been running Vance and Hines big radius pipes on my sg,but then I decided to put cvo bags on my bike. I didn't really care for look of the cutouts without anything in them,so I nstalled a Rinehart exhaust on my bike. This filled the cutouts very nice but man they sound terrible, sounds more like a street rod than a Harley, not sure how long they will survive. Anybody got any suggestions for a baffle swap?
They sound better after you run them for a while. You can also change out the baffles as well. Also if your running stock head pipe, you have to remove the cat. I run 4" Rhinos with Dresser Duals and they sound great to me. Check their website, they use to have high output baffles listed not sure now though. Good Luck finding your sound, everyone has their own opinion.
I'm running Rinehart's high-flow 2.5" baffles and like them. The sound is a little louder and lower. If you want even more sound you might try Big City Thunder baffles.

Me too, it sounds like a v8 muscle car....not excessively loud with a bark when you twist it.

I don't think any of the "bagger style" exhaust systems (Dual pipes exiting out behind the bike) are going to sound anywhere near what your used to having with the Big Radius pipes.
I had V&H Short Shots on my previous Fat Bob, so I know what your used too.
It isn't really so much a Rinehart issue, as it is the style of pipes and how they exit.
Look how much more muffler area there is on the twin mufflers most systems use.
Your Big Radius system didn't have much in the way of "mufflers" at all.
You can make the twin mufflers louder (remove baffles, straight pipe, etc), but I don't think you will duplicated the sound your used too.

Same here 4" RH with V&H Dresser Duals and love the sound. Used to have Monster Ovals, switched to the 4" RH this year and am very happy with the change.
