Just got a Cortsone Shot in the left hip dues to bad Osteoartritis. Will eventually need a total replacement. I am 64 and said what the heck....just bought a new Tri-Glide.

I've had both hips replaced about 10 years apart. Make sure you go to physical therapy before surgery, it will pay dividends on the recovery. Had some issues with pain for a few years after the last one, but all is well now. Nothing is holding me back now.

We have a 70 year old female who had both hips replaced and rode within 6 months of each surgery in our CMA Chapter, also the Shepherd of my HIM MM has had a hip replaced and put 10,000 miles on his RK last year. RIDE ON!

I had my right hip replaced two years ago. No issues with riding. Wife and I do 500 to 600 miles days when we're on trips.

My wife had both knees replace last April. My Avatar is us in Sturgis 4 months later. Do your physical therapy and you will be back in no time.

Default No Problem

Had one done at 47 and the other side at 56. LOL it was easier to get on my bike that get into my car.

Had to drive our pick up if I had to drive, prefer to ride and was at 5 weeks.

Good luck to you!

Default New hip

I had mine replaced in June of 2013. I'm 63 and commute 25 miles one way everyday on my new 2014 Street Glide. I'll be riding to Sturgis from Seattle next summer. Only physical therapy I did was some stretching on my own at home.

I know two motormen that ride with hip replacements, so you can still ride if you have the desire.

Default Thanks

I had my left hip replaced 5 years ago and it took a while to feel comfortable riding (mostly mental). Right replacement in 3 weeks...will be pushing rehab to get back on the road.
