And for the record, that can be done without removing the exhaust. Granted having the exhaust out of the way makes it easier, but it's not necessary.

Take your time and shim the brake handle like the manual says..

Agreed but it is way easier and the exhaust is not that hard to take off.

Op already has a clutch cable.
"I already changed my clutch cable. Had an incident last year and new I was going to do the apes, so when I replaced it I went ahead and ordered the correct one."
