Default Passenger floorbard insert help

While installing some diamond black passenger floorboard inserts the thin part of the pull tab pulled off. Any idea how to get the fat part through the hole once this breaks off?

Small screwdriver and poke it through.

A bit of lubricant and a little fishing line ( dental floss ) just might do the trick??

Lube it with a little dish soap and a little screwdriver will push it through.

I recently had my faded passenger footboards powder coated gloss black. I reinstalled the stock inserts (not sure if yours have the same nipples) by lubing the nipples with some liquid hand soap and used some small medical hemostat clamps to grab the nipples to pull them through the holes in the footboard.

Haha. That sounds like it belongs on a different forum.
