Used one for awhile, but it did not last as long as I had hoped. Less that stock by a fair amount.Light output was pretty good, but nothing exceptional.Went to a TL P7 first chance I got. Never looked back. Was the PIAA worth it? not to me, but to each his own. Of course YRMV.
I have a set of the PIAA Extreme White + on my Road Glide. A lot brighter then the 14 year old Harley bulbs they replaced. If I had the single 7" lamp like you do I would look at LED options.
I ran them before. PIAA makes a good bulb. Lots more light for sure. Check out candlepowerinc they make a great bulb for 25 or so bucks.
If light is what you seek go LED, no halogen comes close.
I am a certified light nut and want to see as well as possible. I was hesitant to drop the $$ on the LED but now there is no way I would ever go back to a Halogen.
They were on my bike when i bought. They were okay but on one the 3 pronged base broke off. I have the Headwinds LED lights now which are much brighter than the PIAA were. If you ride in the dark I'd advise an LED over the PIAA.
