Dark Grey 'sunglass' in the aero version that has a turned up lip that makes the screen act like a 10" flat
This windscreen is a top-notch upgrade. It makes a world of difference as to the rideability pertaining to wind buffeting. The radio is listenable at freeway speeds and doesn't take away from the looks of my FLHX.
My buddy ordered one last week and installed it already. He loves it and it looks great. I ordered mine Monday and should be here today. I will update you on how I like it. I will also try to get a good picture with it on the bike.
As soon as I get some decent weather here...I'll take some nice pictures. Winter came for a visit again... not enough sun to get outside for decent pictures.
First 50 sold out in 2 1/2 weeks, new inventory arrived yesterday
I put around 80 miles on my new Aero windshield today. Overall I like it and will stay with it. The wind hit me in the eyebrow (i'm 6') but was tolerable. Here is where the jury is out. It was a little breezy and every now and then I would feel a slight shimmy in the front end. I don't know if it was caused by the dynamics of the windshield or if it was just the way the wind was blowing. Time will tell but for now I'm going to be optomistic and believe it wasn't the shield.
Its always interesting toread how a windshield works for different people. Im also 6'0 and at highway speeds, the air flow misses my visor completely and touches the top of my helmet.
I put about 300 miles on the Aero prototype design before I released it...I did city and up to 90 on the interstate. I didnt see any windshield shake or related vibration. But Id be very interested in hearing about any comments any Customer has...
In Nevada.. the swirling cross winds are so common we are used to it... they call a 20 mph cross winds as a mild breezy day. We have had winds over 90 mph before...
Jim, got my Aero after a few days after I ordered it. 10 minute install. For those who do not know a Torx 27 bit is on your tool kit Harley provides. You might have to turn them over to get to the T27. I'll post pics later this afternoon.
