Which years on an 2007 RKC
I want to get another set of tins for my 07 Road King Classic. I'm looking to paint the new set and take off the originals for the future if I ever want to switch back. I just havn't been able to find anyone who can give me a straight forward answer of what years can be used. I keep getting about 2000 for the fenders and side covers and about 2003-2005 for the tank(EFI). Any help would be great.

From what people have told me, 2003 and up you can't go wrong. Also, keeping the old tins might sould like the thing to do, but do you really think you will reinstall them in the future? I have talked to a lot of people with this same idea and asked them if they were going to, and most of them replied that they liked the custom painted so much, they wouldn't switch back. Now maybe if you owned an anniverary model, I could see it, but with a '07, I say just paint the set you have. You know it will fit, will be less expensive, and be done with it. Just my opinion. It is your bike.
