I installed a hyper charger on my switchback a couple of years ago. Mine actually worked and the butterflies opened and closed. However I'd never have another. That air cleaner gave me more headaches than my exwife. Because of its setup (if done properly) it would make contact with and broke my map sensor. Didn't see the problem at first but once I figured it out I was done with that a/c. Just my experience, yours may differ...

And beyond that, it's hideous looking so there's that. Shiver.

Make sure u loctite every bolt that holds that thing on the bike. Guy I ride with had a bolt loosen, come out and go into the butterfly hole then into the motor. That was the end of that motor. Beware of the hyper charger
There's a big *** slot running along the bottom of the Hypercharger that allows more air into the TB. So that "flap" is negligible on the so-called Ram Air flow into the motor.
