Road6Custom Lowering Kit install- 2015 RK
Kit was delivered within 3 days - At $40 it's cheaper than buying shorter shocks
Plus I can choose how much to lower- 1 to 3 inches.
I followed suggestion on instruction to use the 2" setting @30 psi....
Ride is Awesome! No bottoming out at all, nor dragging any pipes or floorboards.
Does NOT feel like geometry has changed at all, Just a better stance on bike, no wobble or rubbing sound or marks on tires.
Easy to follow instructions - 15 Minutes to install
Before & After
Kit included everything needed!<br/>Very good quality parts
on extension, the blocks may rotate "up" and the shocks remained compressed- on compression the blocks would rotate down and kinda slam into position
I took them off.
On my evo I had the white brothers lowering blocks which attached more securely to the bike.
previously on the 09 I used 12" shocks- they were pretty good- much better than the lowering blocks for ride quality.
I am back to the stock 13's ( back trouble).
OP I hope they work out for you- some riders have complained about lowering blocks similar to yours ( and mine) distending or breaking
don't forget to re-tension your belt

this is my idea as well. anything that is put together has a higher risk of coming apart over a solid piece. it has too many moving parts that its not supposed to have. i had the la choppers version and it rode pretty harsh. if it was on a bar hopper i would probably use something like this cause it does make it look cool the way it sits. moving the shock with the spacer will make it rub the paint off inside of the bag
The only thing that will push the swing arm down and potentially rotate the block are the shocks themselves - which with them pushing down (big springs remember).... eliminates any rotation.
What actually HAS happened when using these blocks that has not been mentioned is the pinching of the rubber shock dust boots where the boot contacts the block. Pinching a hole right through them.
That and lowering the bike so far it contacts the top of the fender which in the previous years could cause the tire to burn through the wiring harness and possibly burn the paint.
And as mentioned they don't really provide a great ride.
I have a set of them sitting in a drawer because of all of this. All those problems of which I actually experienced. First hand....

Wasn't pointing at you specifically either. Just everything mentioned before my post (above). Sorry if it sounded that way.
Also, I understood your concern about rotation, but as mentioned, the blocks always have the return force of the shocks themselves pushing down on the blocks even when the swingarm is traveling up during a bump, and even if the wheel leaves the ground (the shocks are always pushing back) so the blocks don't rotate if installed correctly.
