Bleeding rear brakes
My rear brakes on my 2012 street glide uses a lot of pedal. thought I would bleed the brakes and flush out old brake fluid. Watch a couple of videos on YouTube. I bought a mityvac to do this. Now I got to thinking what about ABS? Is there anything special I have to be concerned with bleeding brakes on abs systems? Certainly don't want to screw this up!

From what I understand is there's no difference. Harley now requires their Techs to confirm all air has been purged with a Digital Tech II. I'm sure someone with more experience will post in soon. Good luck.

If the abs pump has a closed reservoir that only is opened up when the pump operates then there will still be old fluid in the system. If flushing the system completely is important to you then you will need to cycle the pump using the dig tech during the flushing operation. If getting most of the fluid is flushed and replaced is sufficient then you can do it your self without the dealer dig tech.
