Default Cruise Control Module Question

One of my riding buddies has a 2006 Ultra and his cruise control module seems to be defective. The part number on the module is 70955-04. It seems as though that part number has been discontinued and from searching through the various forum threads the new replacement module part number may be: 70989-04.
Can someone please confirm that is the correct part number for a replacement cruise control module on a 2006 Ultra? I'd like to order the part from one of the online retailers, but typically one can't return electrical parts, hence I want to verify this is the correct part.
TIA

The cruise module is an obsolete HD part. They don't make them any more. If you can get one retail, online or from a dealer, good deal. But you might have to go to eBay. Or, there's an outfit that sells the whole kit (about twice the original retail price…but what you gonna do?) About 3 years ago I needed one for my 2004 RK. I got it for standard retail price from one of the Harley dealers that sell online. At that time, there were still new cruise modules available on eBay, too. If you find them, and your friend's planning to keep the bike, he might want to buy two as, at some point, they're going to become unobtanium. Good luck with it...

harleycruisecontrol.com is the site.

I have a new Cruise Module 70989-04 I'll sell you, make me an offer to include shipping. Originally bought from a Harley Dealer a few years ago for my 2002 Road King, but I learned it was the wrong part number for my 2002..

I'm in Tampa area.
