I ran burly lowering blocks with 12" SG shocks on my 14 RK no problems even riding 2 up no bottoming out or rubbing fender, and did not rub the bags . The ride was as good as 12" shocks are by them selves.
Yeah, I run the road 6 design and have had it dropped 2 inches for 5 years now. I have had no issues mounting them or them changing the ride. Makes me think all the reasons not to do it are overblown. I'll put them on the next bike for sure. Heck, I even have a 21 wheel up front and I didn't lower that. What is the big geometry issue everyone mentions? Seems a little too thought out. Oh, without a doubt it does change from the way Harley delivered it but it wont become unridable. People have used lowering blocks for years. For those years, there has always been a group claiming you shouldn't do it. Kind of like smoking weed I would suggest trying the block for the $50 or less. If you like the ride, pay for shorter shocks if you got coin. Or just run the lowering blocks.
