I have a 2010 street glide and am running what I think are 2009 fullsac performance modified head pipe and recored mufflers. I recently had issue where the cross under tube was moving in and out of the header joint. I loosened the trans side clamp, put in a new gasket and clamp and tightened everything down. Fixed the cross under pipe from moving but now the brake pedal hits my front header pipe.
Should I loosen side mount again and pull header away from bike to try and create some space between pedal and head pipe or is there something IM missing? TIA
I took my bike to have it dynoed a while ago. The tuner tut-tutted and patiently explained to me that my pipes were mis-aligned and promptly sorted them out. I couldn't see anything wrong, either before or after! So yes, readjust yours, to achieve clearance. There are dark and mysterious forces at work, where exhaust alignment is concerned, something mere mortals cannot understand........
